Resipi - Flourless Orange Cake

2 medium-size, thin-skinned oranges, preferably seedless
1 1/2 cups ground almonds
6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
Scrub the fruit well. Place in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, cover and simmer for 2 hours, checking every once in a while to make sure the water hasn’t boiled off too much. Drain and when cool enough to handle, cut the fruit in half carefully, and remove all of the seeds (otherwise the cake will be bitter).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour, or line with parchment, a 9-1/2- or 10-inch springform pan. Put the fruit, skin and all, in a food processor fitted with the steel blade and puree. Measure out 1-1/4 cups.
Beat the eggs with the sugar and baking powder at medium-high speed until thick and lemon-colored. Add the ground almonds and mix well. Mix in the pulped orange at low speed, in two or three additions, beating for 20 seconds after each addition. Pour into the prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour, until firm and a knife comes out clean. If the top begins to get too brown halfway through, cover loosely with foil.

Flying Chillies
Flying Chillies ni restoran Thai... kat The Gardens, yg sebelah Midvalley tuh...
Pandangan signboard dari dalam...
Kitaorg tak pasti nak order apa... banyak sangat la menu... macam sedap2 jer... akhirnya kitaorg decide utk order salad satu sorang dan main course satu sorang...
Boleh tahan gak makanan2 sini. Sedap. Masa tuh Wan demam dan selesema so dish Wonton Noodle tu memang sesuai ngan tekak Wan... sedap, cam makan ubat herba... hehehe...
Salad dia tu bukan macam salad biasa... ala2 main course gak... nyesal order separate... walaupun tak nyesal sangat sebab sedap giler... dan pedas... berbaloi la gak makan situ... sekali-sekala leh la datang sini sbb ambience dia menarik tapi harga boleh tahan gak tinggi... huhuhu

Nasi Goreng Salmon
Semalam ada tournament bowling kat One Utama... lepas tuh, jalan2 kat situ dan termasuk la Cold Storage... 'ter' la sangat... memang niat sebenarnya...
Jalan2 dalam tuh, nampak ler nih:
Salmon bahagian tulang... Rm6 jer... so Wan beli lar... tapi tak tau lagi nak wat apa... pikir punya pikir, dan sebab lapar, akhirnya Wan wat jer nasi goreng Salmon...
Nasib baik dlm fridge dah mmg ada broccoli...
Bawang ngan garlic ni wajib gak...
Halus gak cincangan menggunakan chopper tadi tuh...
Salmon tuh dibasuh ngan air limau supaya tak hanyir la sangat...
Rupa2nya salmon tadi tuh bukan sumanya tulang, ada gak isi... so yg bahagian tulang digunakan dalam tumisan up front...
Broccoli ngan garlic lak ditumis...

Hari ni kita diskas lak pasal Pretzels...
Sapa yg tak pernah nampak Auntie Anne's ni kan? Merata2 shopping complex ada... yang ni kat KLCC, depan ngan Cold Storage and KFC... Pretzels dia banyak flavor dan sedap2 gak... :)

Seafood Risotto
Williams ni pun tempat lepak dan bergosip kitaorg kat opis ni... sebulan sekali kot, especially time gaji... kat situ memang banyak dish yg sedap2... antaranya...
Seafood Risotto - harga dia pun sedap... Rm25 kot, Wan ingat2 lupa... tapi sangat berbaloi sebab portion dia cam utk 2-3 orang makan... pastu ada mcm2 seafood...
Lagi satu yang best... Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice... memang best giler...
Ni dish baru... tapi sedap jugak... ayam tu dipanggang dgn sos/sambal pastu disumbat ngan risotto... okay la gak kalau sharing2...
Duk kat jalan jer kot, heheheh... oh, air2 dia pun ok gak... gelas besar... :)
Tapi satu la kureng kat Williams nih... ambience tak menarik... pastu ada aroma yg mematikan selera tapi tak la suma terganggu... sesetengah kawasan jer bau... huhuhu...

Ikan Bakar
Korang suka makan ikan bakar tak? Wan suka giler... kalau kat KL ni, so far yg Wan suka pegi... kat Jalan Bellamy... sodap giler... pastu baru2 ni, sebelum bowling Ahad, colleague Wan bawak Wan pegi makan kat Kuchai Lama... warung tepi jalan... banyak gak kedai2 kat situ, cam food court... dia cakap ikan bakar situ sedap...

Dia bakar ikan kat belakang tempat lauk pauk tadi... Rambang gak mata nak memilih... nampak ikan kembung, ikan cencaru AKA ikan jaket (Wan suka ikan nih) dan ikan pari...
Lauk pauk dia menarik gak...
Wan amek ulam bendi, acar dan telur masin jer sbb tau nak amek ikan bakar... hihihi
Kemudiannya, dah duduk nak makan nih, lupa lak tak basuh tangan lagi... jaga kebersihan katanya, so Wan bangun lar gi basuh tangan... tetiba ternampak lak opposite tempat bakar ikan tuh... ada mende nih...
Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak!!!
Dah meleleh air liur kat situ on the spot... pastu akak tu tengok cam Wan nak terkam situ gak, dia trus tanya nak ke tak... Wan nak, tapi Wan tanya harga dulu... sebab pari tu Wan dah amek gak... dia cakap harganya RM8... ok lar... Wan amek gak... buat ratah2 jer la... pari makan ngan nasik... yum3...
Dah duduk utk kali kedua, baru nampak signage ni kat belakang kitaorg... haih... kalau tau awal2 tadi terkam patin jer trus...
Tapi tak kisah sbb pari tu sedap... patin tu pun sedap... giler kenyang... trus balik opis, tak jadi bowling... dah nak malam sket baru gi bowling sbb dah se'eh (bak kata org pahang... kenyang sgt2 la tuh)... :)
