Seperti biasa, Wan balik kijer lewat dan lapar... so ajak lar colleague sorang tuh pegi makan2 kat area umah Wan di Permaisuri tuh... ada banyak kedai baru bukak kan? So kitaorg decide utk cuba kedai Kelantan nih... Yati Ayam Percik... okay gak lar setting kedai nih... bukak sampai 12 mlm tp kitchen bukak sampai kul 11...

Air bandung...

Sbb dah lewat, terpaksa order menu yg ready made jer... nasi kerabu ayam percik... boleh tahan la gak... dan harga pun boleh tahan gak... huhu... much better experience than kedai yg berhampiran...

Wong Solo

Kat Permaisuri dah ada Wong Solo... yay! Skang tak perlu gi Ampang or Kg Baru lagi dah utk makan ayam penyet... unless dari opis... then Kg Baru tu dekat jer lar...

Wong Solo ni sebaris ngan Kayu Nasi Kandar...

Siap ada minuman baru lagi... terung belanda tu apa ek?

Yong Tau Foo

Kat Bandar Sri Permaisuri... on the sidewalk dekat ngan tempat2 makan paling hujung sekali... dekat ngan pagar Sri Penara... ada satu gerai ni jual yong tau foo...

Kekadang bila mood untuk yong tau foo tiba tuh, xleh nak wat apa la ek...

Selalunya macam ni nyer yong tau foo RM10 ke atas...

Kuah dia okay la kot... takde la special sangat... takde yong tau foo lain dah kat situ, takde choice... huhuhu... :(

Ada dua kedai masakan Chinese Muslim kat area Permaisuri nih... dulu selalu pegi Chinese Muslim Food Corner tu jer... sebelah Barn Lanai... kat belakang warung2 tepi jalan tuh (Sup Meletup)... skang ni dah ada lak Masak Khas Cina Muslim...

Kat tepi jalan, lepas traffic light... opposite new parking lot depan maybank...

Warung tu camnih jer... takde permanent fixtures...
tp ada gak tempat duduk yg tersorok belah atas sket...

Wan bungkus jer masa tuh... ujan so malas nak makan kat situ...

Nasi Ayam Kam Hiong + Telur Mata... ingatkan nasi putih... rupanya nasi goreng...
Kam Hiong tu masakan chinese yang ada rempah kari... sedap gak...

Yay ada tempat makan baru!

Nasi Goreng Tom Yam Man Fan

Kedai Chinese Muslim ni dekat jer ngan umah Wan kat Bandar Sri Permaisuri... sebelah jer...

Menu... memang banyak yang sedap tau... tahun ni diaorg ada tambah macam2 lagi... suma sedap2 gak...

Tapi salah satu feberet Wan... Nasi Goreng Tom Yam Man Fan... nasi goreng tomyam tuh, dia tambah kuah putih ala2 kantonis tapi banyak giler kuah... ala2 nasi banjir...

Ni Wan tapau so Wan letak la sendiri dlm pinggan... selalunya Wan mintak kuah asing... kuah tu banyak giler raksasa... ada mushroom, ayam, daging, seafood, sayuran... cam makan kuah tu jer dah cukup... nasi goreng tu ala2 podas gak so kuah tu membalancekan la taste dia... :)

Restoran ni baru bukak kot... kat Bandar Sri Permaisuri... sederet ngan Kayu Nasi Kandar, tapi hujung on the other side, bukannya side yg ada Pappa Rich dan Q Bistro...

Pormtip Thai BBQ Seafood Restaurant, bukan Porntip tau, tu dah jadik lain lak, ehehhehe... siap ada tagline lagi... "A Meal To Remember"...

Food: Chinese Muslim

This is one of my favorite local eatery. I love the food there and the fact that it is right next to my place helps a lot. Hhehehee.

It's called simply Chinese Muslim Restaurant. If you're familiar with Bandar Sri Permaisuri, you'd know there's a stretch of food stalls at the edge of Jalan Sri Permaisuri 1. Chinese Muslim sits at the back, behind everything.

C-Moi, asam boi + lime, very refreshing

Nasi Goreng Tomyam

Nasi Kukus Man Fan

Went there with Gua after karaoke one night, he had the Nasi Kukus Man Fan and I had the Nasi Goreng Tomyam.

I love the Nasi Goreng Tomyam because it's spicy! The other Nasi Goreng Tomyams I had in town are all not spicy. However, it's lacking the sourness of a tomyam slightly. So whenever I tapau, I'd douse the nasi goreng with some lemon juice and viola! A perfect Nasi Goreng Tomyam.

Gua and I were supposed to go eat somewhere in Bandar Sri Permaisuri when he decided to turn into Jusco Maluri, out of the blue. He wanted to go to this restaurant:

So, as per usual, he'd ordered plenty of food (just like at Pappa Rich), while I order the normal amount, and yet he's a walking skeleton... sigh...

The chicken wings was nothing to shout about. Seaweed soup was quite nice. My beef noodle thingy was a bit sour-y but still okay. The beef was aplenty...

One fine day after work, Gua and I went to Pappa Rich in Bandar Sri Permaisuri (down the street from my place jer)...

I had been at the Permaisuri one a few times with the others but we've never really had dinner there. Mostly just go there for drinks coz their drink menus are pretty good.

Iced Red Bean, looks like a drink but more like a dessert

Forgot the name of this... but basically it was
kueytiaw soup with steamed chicken (I love steamed chicken!)

Please note that all of the below photos are Gua's orders. I put this disclaimer forth so that people would know that I am not that big an eater, even though I am big. Gua's a walking skeleton but he eats more than me... behold...

Phew! Okay, okay, he does give me some of the food, but only a tiny piece. And he polished em all off... not a single strand or drop left... dasat and he's only like this tiny man...

We went to Sri Melati for dinner one night. I have been there a few times with my friends and colleagues, so we kinda know what we wanted. Hmm, except for one colleague. He has not been there before.

By the way, Sri Melati serves Thai food. Predominantly. It's located in Bandar Sri Permaisuri, near my place. :)

Okay, not really near my place. It's nearer to Hero Supermarket. Across from it actually.

My Nasi Goreng Petai was nice and spicy. The Nasi Goreng Seafood was nice but plain. The Nasi Goreng Thai had the most extravagant plate but it was not as nice as the Nasi Goreng Petai. Or maybe I am biased coz I ordered it. :P

The calamari was not as nice as the meat was stringy and it felt like mostly batter.

The glass noodle salad is definitely nice. Sweet, sour and spicy. Nice. Have I said nice? :)
