Ni gambar dinner sebelum bulan puasa... masa tu pegi jumpa kawan kat Kampung Baru, tapi tiba2 dia ada hal plak, so dia balik hotel dia lewat sket... nak tak nak, terpaksa la pegi makan... trus la menuju ke Wong Solo nih... ayam penyet...

Soda Gembira (air bandung + eskrem soda)

Ni kira dessert... Es Buah... air yg dipenuhi ngan serpihan2 pelbagai buah...

Sayur Brokoli (sedap, especially ngan cendawan tuh)

Dish ni mmg best... sotong masak petai... sotong dia moist sangat...
certain restaurants masak sampai kering dan liat

Empal Sapi... iaitu daging...

Memang takde gambar ayam penyet... Wan actually prefer daging... sedap, lembut... :)

Food: Waroeng Penyet

During the break for MFA Bowling Tournament at Cineleisure, me and colleagues couldn't decide what to eat. I wanted to try Paddington House of Pancakes. One colleague wanted Kenny Rogers. One couldn't decide and the other one just wanted to follow the lead.

I told them we don't have to eat at the same place and we could go off on our own and meet back up at the bowling alley.

I remembered Waroeng Penyet at The Curve so I wanted to go there. They all wanted to follow. *shrugs*

The front of the store

Menu displayed at the side glass wall

I ordered the Soda Gembira, which is Sirap Bandung with Ice Cream Soda
Beef Soup

Forgot the name... similar to rojak...

Ayam penyet...

which we all ordered...

I've only been to one other 'Penyet' restaurant. The one in Taman Dagang called Wong Solo.
I think the food is slightly better at Waroeng but Wong Solo has a better ambience...

Food: Pasargad

One night, Iskandar had a craving for Arabic food but no one wanted to brave the KL traffic heading to Bukit Bintang so we decided to go to Taman Dagang instead.

There's an Iranian restaurant there by the name of Pasargad. It's located opposite Galaxy, near Wong Solo. We'd all been to Wong Solo before and saw this restaurant but had never wanted to try eating there. It almost always seemed empty.

The front of the store, which seems kinda lacking patrons
We went in first, waiting for Is to show up. It was just the two of us in the whole restaurant. We decided to order drinks first and were disappointed to find out that a lot of the things in the menu are not available. Okay, let me rephrase. They were out of yoghurt, which pretty much is the main ingredient in a lot of the food offered.

Panzer's Lamb

Barberry Rice
(not to be confused with Burberry Rice, which would come in checkered patterns)

Mine... Chicken

Is' Lamb Kebab with Rice

Iranian Bread with Hummus

My meal was nice. The soup/gravy was new and I enjoyed it. Couldn't put my finger on the taste though. Panzer's was a bit too lamb-y. Twas like they had goats soak in the soup or something, which technically would have been correct since they'd be boiling the meat in the soup. But the taste was overwhelming.
The kebab was okay I guess, nothing too special. So was the hummus. Although it was good, it was not that memorable.
I hope this place stays open for a while longer coz I loved my Barberry Rice with Chicken. :)

Venue - Pasargad, Taman Dagang
Cost - Forgot... this was an outing months ago... but it was not too expensive... my meal was around RM20ish
Foodie - Panzer, Iskandar

Food: Wong Solo

Last Saturday, we went for grocery shopping, then headed to Ampang for dinner. Indonesian restaurant called Wong Solo. It was not the first time we all went there.

I ordered the Empel Sapi plus the Ayam Penyet Set. They're both equally good so I ordered both. Then I ordered the Teh O Ais and Es Buah. It's like a mixed fruit cocktail. Oh, and we ordered a vege dish to share... the Spicy Brinjals... and the set actually comes with white rice, a bit of the brinjal, tauhu goreng, tempe goreng, some ulams and two kinds of sambals...

It was the first time I actually went into one of those sit-down booths, rather than eating at the table. Felt like home...

Ice Lime Tea and Es Buah (es means ice)
