Food: Jogoya

Courtesy of one of my colleague's husband, we got vouchers to go to Jogoya, located on the Relish Floor of Starhill.

Jogoya is a buffet restaurant that serves mainly Japanese food, but not really restricted to Japanese food. Japanese and Seafood I guess.

The place was quite fancy schmancy so I was hesitant to take Elsa out and start snapping, especially since Elsa's not too fond on being silent. She's quite flashy too... so here are the ones I managed to snap...

Hot tissue

Our table

Lamb with some veges and wild mushroom

Venison

Chicken Wings and Grilled Alaskan Squid

Tomyam Soup

Shark's Fin Soup

Oysters

Jogoya Pins

You take the pins and put it at a counter for a dish you want. They'll whip it up and send em over to your table. Yup, some stuff are not cooked yet so they'll do it once you put your pin there.
The shark's fin soup was nice. As were the oysters. Fresh. :)
I especially like the Alaskan Squid. I haven't had that Alaskan Squid before. I'd imagine all squid tasted the same but the Alaskan type has a different texture to it.
The lamb and the venison was also delicious. Who would've thought that venison would be served there...
I might go there a second time at the end of the month. Now that I know the layout, I'd probably enjoy it more... :)
Venue: Jogoya, Relish Floor, Starhill, Bukit Bintang
Cost: (with voucher) RM60 each (totally worth it)

Food: Seafood

Again, one of the outings during Christmas breaks... I thought all of the photos were destroyed in the virus attack... my new thumbdrive easily succumbs to virus attacks and I always lose photos and/or documents... but these survived...

We went here after a game of bowling at Times Square... this food court is situated behind Lot 10... next time I go there I'll take more photos and make sure I upload immediately...

Mussels in hot garlic sauce

We normally eat these with fried rice... delicious...
Venue: Food Court behind Lot 10

Food: Quality Hotel

This has been long overdue. We talked about it but we never got around to actually doing it. So one fine day, um, about two days before the new year, me and the colleagues gathered at Quality Hotel for a dimsum buffet.

The restaurant from where we seated...
Cute dining set...
So here's how it works. They put out the dimsum in these little bamboo baskets and stack em up high on a cart with a steamer underneath. Approach with caution. I mean, pick up with caution. There are other food too, such as noodles, porridge, fruit cocktails, fried stuff and desserts.
Now, I can't exactly remember what was in the dimsum or what it was called... coz I was too busy stuffing my face, it was a lazy time and also, the restaurant did not label the dimsum... twas nice... Enjoy the photos...

Egg Tart (this one I can confirm, ehehhe)

The liquid version of Chawan Mushi
Steamed Ginger Chicken

Steamed Fish with Assam Pedas Sauce
We came in two batches... This was ours...

This was Kam and Rina's...
Venue: Quality Hotel
Cost: RM26 ++ (not including drinkies)
Foodie:
Zafirah & Hubby (not pictured)

Food: Barra

One Tuesday night, the whole lot of us, except for the night shift, went out for dinner. You guys noticed the row of shops next to Tesco Ampang?

If you are standing at the parking lot of Tesco Ampang, you can see a huge Linda Onn poster, peddling her new restaurant selling Assam Pedas. But the poster shows her in a black dress holding a chili. Hmmm...

Anyways, those are the new blocks of shop and we went to the one behind Linda Onn's shop. It's called Barra.

Barra's Front
It was a new establishment. One of them SMEs. As you can see from the banner, Barra offers seafood, western cuisines and local favorites.

Zafirah Najmi's Sweet & Sour Fish
Mine... the House Specialty, Nasi Goreng Barra
Husna Afifi's Alfredo Pasta
ABC

Forgot the name of this dish but it's fried bananas with shredded coconut and brown sugar
Nice menu. I loved the nasi goreng Barra and the banana dish was divine... but more importantly, the company we kept... it was nice to have everyone there for dinner... :)
Venue: Barra, MRR2, next to Tesco Ampang
