Pulut Durian

Bulan puasa ni rezeki murah, alhamdulillah. Banyak jemputan berbuka puasa. Kat opis pun ada gak makanan yang ditaja untuk berbuka. Kalau tak keluar pun, makan free gak. :)

Baru-baru ni, pegi berbuka kat Felda, Jalan Gurney, anjuran MAHB. Okay gak makanan situ. Tapi yang paling bestnyer....

Pekat kan kuah tu? Pulut Durian yang sedap giler...
Pastu, the next one lak, anjuran Northport. Makan kat Paya Serai, PJ Hilton. Pergh.

Tapi, apa2 hal, still free kan?

Food: Quality Hotel

This has been long overdue. We talked about it but we never got around to actually doing it. So one fine day, um, about two days before the new year, me and the colleagues gathered at Quality Hotel for a dimsum buffet.

The restaurant from where we seated...
Cute dining set...
So here's how it works. They put out the dimsum in these little bamboo baskets and stack em up high on a cart with a steamer underneath. Approach with caution. I mean, pick up with caution. There are other food too, such as noodles, porridge, fruit cocktails, fried stuff and desserts.
Now, I can't exactly remember what was in the dimsum or what it was called... coz I was too busy stuffing my face, it was a lazy time and also, the restaurant did not label the dimsum... twas nice... Enjoy the photos...

Egg Tart (this one I can confirm, ehehhe)

The liquid version of Chawan Mushi
Steamed Ginger Chicken

Steamed Fish with Assam Pedas Sauce
We came in two batches... This was ours...

This was Kam and Rina's...
Venue: Quality Hotel
Cost: RM26 ++ (not including drinkies)
Foodie:
Zafirah & Hubby (not pictured)

Food: Terminal Seafood

One Ramadan night, me and my friends decided to go for some seafood. The restaurant is called Terminal Seafood and it's served buffet style. You cook them seafood at your table, either by putting it in the soup or just grilling them.

This is what the grill thingy looked like

I was the one who made the reservation because my friend did not want to and they got my name wrong. Apparently I now host Tom Tom Bak on Astro.

As soon as it gets near buka puasa time, we all dashed for the buffet line and grabbed whatever we can, I mean, want to eat.
Yup, that's the concept, grabbing raw seafood and cooking it at the table.

I managed to grab some prawns and scallops and grilled them with some butter.

Iskandar's food

Teddy's food

At the end of the dining dash, this (after the wait staff came and took dirty plates away once) is the aftermath. The golden grill thingy is now blackened and charred.

For Ramadan, they also served grilled lamb. Unfortunately, the lamb was taking forever, especially when the griller did double-grillage. The whole lamb carcass was already grilled. He then sliced some bits off and grill it again, until the bits are charred. Panzer thinks it's because it was yesterlamb and needed to be reheated.
This was the second time I've been there. The first time was better I think. Not sure why though. Oh, right, the selection was much varied the first time around. Maybe they're compensating for adding the lamb by regressing the menu a bit.
Venue: Terminal Seafood, Bukit Antarabangsa.
Cost: Rm58 per person
Foodie: Panzer, Iskandar, Teddy, Dzeng + 2 Friends
