Fiesta Makanan Perlis

Saya sekarang ni berada di Kangar, Perlis untuk cover SUKMA... hari kedua kami tiba di Kangar, ada satu festival makanan katanya... so kami pun teringin lar nak pegi rasa makanan2 perlis nih...

Fiesta Makanan: Perlis Kitchen 2014 namanya... diadakan berhampiran dengan Dewan Kapitol...

Macam2 ada kat Fiesta Makanan nih... termasuk lar baju dan tudung...

Yang sedihnya, hanya yang ni jer menangkap mata... Satay Rusa dan Ayam Piru... ayam piru tu mende ek? Wan tanya brader tu, dia jawab pun Wan masih tak tercapai akal ayam piru tu macam mana...

Tapi malang sekali, satay ayam piru tu takde petang tuh... so Wan makan rusa aja...

Makanan2 lain kat Fiesta nih sumanya makanan2 biasa kita jumpa kat mana-mana seperti spaghetti bolognese, makaroni, burger bakar, kuay tiaw kerang etc...

Pulau

Pulau tu nama unofficial tempat tu sebab dia memang macam pulau... yang dikelilingi jalan... kat Jalan Tun Razak, depan Wisma Celcom... ada banyak kedai kat situ, tapi yang paling best Restoran Mulia... ada satay yang sedap giler... dan ada banyak giler makanan lain gak...

Pernah dengar/makan tak Ayam Buah Keluak? Wan tak pernah... tau pasal dish ni pun sebab baca artikel kat Yahoo!... Masakan nyonya ek... tau tak kat mana nak carik kat KL ni?

Kerang Bakar

Dekat ngan opis ada satu restoran nih... satay dia mengancam jiwa raga gak... Restoran Mulia namanya... kat dekat Bangunan Celcom tuh... pulau diberi nama sebab dia cam pulau kat situ... kalau nak gi Kg Baru tuh kena tawaf pulau tuh baru leh pegi Kg Baru...

Anyway, kat situ selain satay best, ada gak macam2 makanan lain... seperti kerang bakar...

Kitaorg order kerang bakar dan kerang rebus... jenuh gak ngan mengopek dan makan... :)

Last month, my family was in town coz my uncle was admitted to HKL. After coming back from the hospital, everybody was hungry so I suggested this restaurant ...

Satay @ Restoran Mulia AKA Pulau, which is in front of the Celcom Building, facing Jalan Tun Razak.

They haven't had it yet. They only know Satay Kajang so I thought they oughta have a taste of something right in KL...

They enjoyed the food and as predicted, we ended up tapau-ing the satay and chopping it up and re-fry it with some rice the next day...

Food: Soto

My colleague's husband asked if I could go bowling with them. He wanted to practice because he got a tourney coming up. I am always up for bowling...

But the bowling won't start until 10-ish, so me and the colleague had time to kill. We decided to go to eat Soto or as they call it, 'The Best Soto in Town'. The restaurant is off of MRR2, opposite of Tesco Ampang...

We were joined by another colleague for dinner. Hmm, the original foodies are re-united, for one night only... (so Mamma Mia!...)

All of us ordered the soto but one girl ordered Nasi Impit while the rest of us ordered Mihun.

I been there once before. One serving is not enough, even though the portion is quite big. I don't know why I don't wanna order another plate... instead I ordered satay. Yes, been jonesing for satay but haven't had the chance to go to Miami AKA Restoran Mulia yet...

Food: Satay @ Mulia

Was stuck at the office Wednesday night (mostly by choice since it's jammed like hell outside) and had cravings for satay. Managed to convince two colleagues to brave the traffic and head to 'Pulau' (Island) or Miami as a certain DJ colleague of mine called it.

They serve the best satay there apparently. I had a taste of it and kinda agree that it was the best I've had. The satay was huge and it was not dry. The meat was quite moist and succulent. The kuah kacang is a delight, especially when you add in the (sambal) chili paste. Yum.
